Went to see The Who in concert yesterday, at the Southampton Rose Bowl (a cricket ground). Gates opened at 2.30pm - and they had around 3-4 support acts, so it was a real mini-festival!
Arrived at around 5.30, just as a random Liverpudlian band were finishing up. Next on were The Magic Numbers, a family band (a guy and his two sisters) from London. They were good, playing a nice mix of their chart hits "She don't love me like you" and their newer tracks (album out soon).
Wow, haven't made a joke yet
They filmed the tour DVD there, so they made a bit of extra effort, I think. Behind them were four movable LED screens, showing a variety of graphics in time with the music. Very professional, and amazingly effective.
Erm, and that's all. Apparently nobody else knows what a 'Disco Nap' is, but I forgot to take one, so was knackered by the end
Until you next give a damn,
Paddy x
